According to a Fortune.com report, it could be attributable to the greater number of baby boomers who are getting divorced.  Indeed, this may be due to changing views about marriage or economic independence. Are your ideas valuable? It is a matter of opinion, of course, and one idea is likely more valuable than another. For instance, the idea of the internet has more monetary value than, for example, your idea to try a new sweetener in your coffee this morning.
